My husband and I are new immigrants who live (rent) and work in Atlantic City. We would like to buy our own
place, no matter how humble. We don't want to stay in Atlantic City despite the Live Where You Work program because the condo units are too small and have no assigned parking slots. We're choosing between 1BR/1BA listings in Brigantine( a bit more spacious, with parking) and 2BR/1.5 to 2 BA listings in Absecon, within the same price range. What would be the better buy for us, in terms of future rentability and value appreciation? We're senior citizens and we intend to sell, rent out or avail of home equity in about 6 years.

I don't see much activity regarding Brigantine rental in this economy - 2010 Summer. Does snyone have any idea about possibility of renting a?
5 or 6 bedroom, 2 bath, sleep approx 10, dutch colonial single home 1 and half blocks from beach at south end of Brigantine? If so, is it best to use a rental manager and what should one expect from manager?
